About
About Audio Meditation and Hypnotherapy
Audio Meditation and Hypnotherapy publishes guided relaxation audio and plain, honest guides on how meditation and hypnosis work. The aim is simple, to help people relax, sleep, and focus using sound, and to explain the practice clearly enough that you can judge what suits you.
What we publish
Two things sit at the centre of this site. The first is guided audio, the recordings you press play on. The second is the written guides that explain how to use them and what to expect, because a recording helps more when you understand what it is doing. We cover audio meditation, self-hypnosis, sleep practices, and related topics such as lucid dreaming and hypnotherapy.
Who writes this site
The guides here are written by Elena Valiyak, who leads the site's content on audio meditation, relaxation practices, and hypnotherapy. Each article is prepared and then checked for accuracy, tone, and safety before it goes live, following the process set out in our editorial policy.
Elena Valiyak is a psychologist, hypnologist and author of guided meditation and hypnosis recordings. According to her official professional biography, she studied individual psychological counselling at the Moscow Institute of Psychoanalysis and later trained in Ericksonian therapy and hypnosis at the Institute of Group and Family Psychology and Psychotherapy under Professor M. R. Ginzburg. Her additional training listed on her professional site includes a cognitive therapy training programme associated with the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research and an Ashtanga Yoga teacher-training course with David Swenson. Valiyak has been publishing guided relaxation, meditation and hypnosis material through her author website, Alpha Center (alphacentr.ru), for many years. Her catalogue includes recordings focused on relaxation, stress management, self-development and meditation. In a published interview, she also described meditation as a long-term personal practice and identified herself as a psychologist.
The standards we hold
- We explain how a practice works and where its limits are, rather than overselling it.
- We separate what has evidence from what is a matter of comfort or belief, and say which is which.
- We do not fabricate statistics, studies, or personal results.
- We treat health topics carefully and point to professional care where it is the right step.
What this site is not
We are not a clinic, and nothing here is medical or psychological treatment. Guided audio and educational articles can support wellbeing, but they do not diagnose or treat conditions. Please read our disclaimer, and reach a qualified professional for anything affecting your health.
